I am a creator of another world…

I insist on remaking reality…

I have opened up my mind…

I am on a quest for truth…

Now I share, with love…

The best I have to offer.

If it were not for Ramelan, a character I made up for my music, I may be content to remain anonymous.

But Ramelan is within me, a teacher, my best guide, and he writes exciting songs for me. Songs I just can’t help but finesse to the best of my human abilities and share with you. Songs I pull from the ethers, a world of magic in which Ramelan exists.

And Ramelan, a God of Love, would not shine were it not for Sephyr, his partner. She, a Goddess of Love in her own right, matches the passion and desire that Ramelan has always hoped to transmit from his world to ours. With Sephyr by his side, they share the best of their Love and all they can to positively impact humanity.

Throughout my life I have always sought truth and love and transformation. Not so much rags to riches, but hell to heaven… how to feel better. At a young age, I pondered, “How could the world be ripe with so many ills? Is there a better way?”

Because of this calling and my years spent investigating and creating new ideas to set to lyrics and music, Ramelan answered. At first his songs were epic and symbolic. They suited the times I lived in and the person I was then. The primary focus being that Chaos was the enemy, a villain and a vice that we must overcome in order to find peace in life. Yet the music was too eccentric, and my presentation of it unsure.

My interest in rock music was always the foundation for Ramelan. Yet the desire to write to 5-string acoustic bass and no guitar forced me to stretch the possibilities of both the bass instrument as well as the fundamentals of how a song is typically written. Usually I go for lyrics and catchy melody to sing first, then add bass and percussion.

Life took turns I could not have planned for. Important lessons, challenging pains, irreversible growth. Not to mention the most important person I’ve ever met, my girl Beck. It’s a whole new stage, if not a new game altogether. And I am ready for the world stage. It is my destiny. No, it is Ramelan’s!

Get ready to join this growing desire for a better world, a world of Love.

I am here. I offer myself, my words, my music in service to the world and to the greater good for all.

Many blessings to all,

Matthew
