Recalibrating ABC and 123

Take a look at pretty much all education and law and economics and healthcare in the world today,  and you will see it is based on structures born from the ABCs and 123s you learned so long ago.

And it makes sense. To believe that everything you have been taught is the basis of all that there is.

All things come from those basic concepts, right? All things can be described by letters and numbers, right?

Do you ever get the sense that things are not quite as they seem?

Sometimes this happens because you are presented with new information that challenges your belief in old information………

This is not a bad thing, in and of itself. What does hinder the process, though, is for you to go into fear about it.

To go into fear about change slows the transformation. Change is needed. Nothing grows without change.

Growth is one of the six criteria for life, after all. To be alive, a thing must grow. To be without growth would not be alive.

Recalibrating for Growth…

So far the message of this blog has been based in the information and truth available to me at the beginning of this process. But now the experience of it is different. The writing is coming from a different place, a new perspective.

Without this, the blog would die. The blog needs growth. My writing needs growth. My connection to Source needs growth. My ability to tune in needs growth. My ability to trust needs growth. My ability to let go…

Let Go of Old Structures

Word Art Let go of old structures over grey graph paper backgroundIn this post and ones to come, it will be a purging of sorts. An energetic cleansing. For me and any who wish to read along.

This is a letting go of the old. Again, this process is not bad. It is only in the mind of the one who judges it as bad that it becomes so.

Letting go is a tremendous blessing. Why carry the old car you can no longer drive? No one would expect you to do that. That would be ludicrous.

You do not need to hold on to everything you find in life. Or everyone.

Sifting through your feelings becomes an essential.

When a place, or a situation, or a person does not feel good for you and your higher growth, then it is a hindrance. It is holding you back from your own growth, from your own life.

Change is an essential part of being alive. All life changes. All things change in time. Even death is a change, wrongly feared, that brings newness on the other side.

People all tell such funny stories about what is on the other side of life, after the crossing over into death…

We will not get into that now…

Teacher Leave Those Kids Alone

Some decades ago on a famous island nation, a band named Pink Floyd posed these words to the world:

“We don’t need no education

We don’t need no thought control

Teacher leave those kids alone”

And I believe they had some meaning by those words at the time.

But that is not the meaning I am seeing in them now, through my current lens, my filter of experience and understanding.

My newness, my particular perspective now, has a different take on it that the band may not have intended, or the history books may have written.

And that take is this:

The school is a tool for those who wish to control.

School is conditioning you to a certain way of life.

To a certain perception of reality.

To a certain expectation of what is possible.

To a certain amount of malleability.

To a certain level of control in what you do,
what you choose,
who you are,
who you are deemed worthy of being,
who and what and how and when all things are possible for you…

The school defines itself as a means of purveying information that has been agreed upon to share.

In a way we all agree to it. We agree to keep telling the same histories, the same songs, the same nursery rhymes, the same cultural expectations.

We agree to what the school should and should not teach.

School by no means shares all possible information, all possible perspectives…

It may share what it feels comfortable with. Any knowledge, wisdom, understanding, and truth outside of that comfort will be ignored and ridiculed as crazy.

What is crazy is limiting possibility of thought and creation. What is crazy is to tell a child, a person of any age, that what they think or say or do is crazy. That is control.

So of course it is especially the unknown, the unobservable that is most frightful to school.

The intuitive and spiritual worlds… Well outside the ABCs and 123s…

School is based on ABC and 123

ABCs are great to learn to read and write.Word Art A B C 1 2 3 over lined paper background

And 123s help count, add and subtract, and keep track of money and important numbers.

These concepts are important.

Right?

ABC and 123 are the building blocks on which all the lessons and concepts of school are subsequently constructed.

Without the ABCs, high schoolers would not write essays and answer questions.

Without the 123s, well, lots of things would be measured quite strangely.

They are important.

But there comes a point when the structure that the school necessitates becomes so rigid that all life is based upon only the given building blocks of structure, of ABC and 123.

There are things outside of ABC, beyond words and description and explanation.

And there are things beyond 123 that do not obey known laws or that cannot be perceived by science or human in the way that math necessitates.

Given this track, it is entirely possible that by high school and college the structure is so firm, so hardened in the intellectual mind, that the unseen, the unobservable, the nonphysical becomes impossible to believe. It becomes completely stamped out of a person’s experience of life.

Structure, we will say, is important from a certain perspective for what you call order in your world. But God is the order that is needed. God’s order is divine and infinite and perfect. God’s order has created the universe and All That Is and continues to operate the sun, the moon and the stars with ease.

Can you do that with your ABCs and 123s?

Can you move planets through space?

Can you create life?

There comes a point in educating when it is time the teachers leave the kids alone. That means to allow the unknown. To allow change and growth and newness. To allow the question that leads to new creation.

Perhaps most of all, and most controversial, is to stop structuring people for control. (This idea will be expanded upon in the future.)

This is by no means a blame game. I am not into blame. Just awareness. Newness. The cutting edge of creation.

Today is simply a purging.

Thank you for reading. That is all for now.

Please leave comments if this post brought newness to you.

And please share to help expand the cutting edge of creation.

Blessings to you all,

Matthew

  1. Kudos to you Matthew!
I’m in agreement 100%! I received a Facebook post regarding education in a European country(Holland?) where the child’s education is for the most part all about PLAY!….. very little classroom instruction.
