As Purity stood there next to Gabriela, holding the woman’s hand, the world around her swirled in marvelous colors. The pink and white clouds; bright, blue sky; the red-orange-yellow of the sun; deep, blue sea; and the green-brown sprawl of land below all spiraled together in a whirlwind of holographic magic. A howling wind blew circles around them, whistling in Purity’s ears and blowing her hair across her face.

It was those awful soldiers! The light warriors. They wore shiny, white suits of armor and shining white swords. Scared me and my girls right out of our stockings. They started melting the whole school with their bright light! We picked up our broomsticks and made our escape. There were too many of them. Woe is me!

To-Do List of Fear

When you confirm fear, you shake hands with it and you give fear power. You tell fear, yes, you may be here and continue to be what you are. You may continue to run the show, to call the shots, to create things in my life that are in fear, or are fearful. I will continue to look at you and live a life in fear, choosing from my daily “To-Do List of Fear.”
