What Is Wrong With Me?

Is there? Is there something wrong with me? What is it? What is it that is wrong with me? Do I even know what it is that is wrong with me? If I do not know what is wrong with me, how can I ever hope to correct what is wrong with me?

The Light Is Here, I Have Forgiven the World

The light shines upon the world in blessed ease. The light warms the heart with love. The light shows the perfection that is God’s creation everywhere of everything, always. The light is here. You may shine it through your being. Your eyes are God’s eyes upon God’s creation. You are God’s light living God’s life. You may forgive all the world all its ills. And you may be at peace. Blessed are those who forgive and blessed is the light.

And then it appeared. On the horizon, in the distance, one enormous clawed leg reached out and found footing on the rocky hills. It moved slowly, behemothly slow. And when it placed its sharp, pointed toe down, the sound reverberated out like thunder. Another leg appeared, then another. It was unclear how many, but Purity got the sense of something like an insect or spider with many legs. Only bigger than any creature she had ever imagined possible.

—Esda helps lighten the skeleton’s load as much as she can, but ends up carrying too much herself and almost topples over.
SKELETON JOE
Where did the Cacklers get the time to pack all of this when they were running from the school?

The Fear Grid, Part 7

Everything stopped. Purity had this sense of ease overcome her. The shadow monster was still. A bright, white glow rose in brilliance, all the way from a spark into a massive orb of light that engulfed the entire area… basketball courts, side of school, and all.

A woman’s voice called out as if by some strange fluke, “Hi, dear,” it soothed liltingly.

Who was that? So calm…

“There is nothing to fear now,” said the woman…

Witch Town, Part 7

Warren follows Jawtooth towards the back of the tented structure. There is a small fire and some benches. On one of the benches, Jawtooth grabs a pouch.

The soothsayer takes the pouch, shakes it in his hand over his shoulder, and simply deposits its contents on the ground in front of the fire. The fire crackles and brightens momentarily.

Jawtooth gazes at some small bones and scraps of hard material carved into strange runes.

Warlock Warren leans in with curiosity.
